So I recently move to a new apartment/home. What ISP and speed of Internet would you recommend?
Most areas today have xFinity and Verizon Fios, which have speeds up to 10Gbps. Certain areas will not support that speed pending on how old the buildings are. For instance, I live in an apartment complex and wanted to switch to Verizon since it is cheaper and faster than xFinity. It turned out the highest speed in my apartment complex is 56Mbps since it is an old building. I ended up downgrading xFinity Speed since the bill went high.
Before you find the ISP service you want, I suggest you to do the following:
- Determine what you want to use the Internet and how many people you have in the household. For example, you recently move to a 1 bedroom 1 bathroom apartment and love to stream. If you live by yourself and need it for social media and Internet then I recommend the cheaper package.
- Check the area for ISP services. Not all areas have xFinity or Verizon. Before you go with the ISP you want, do your research.
- Determine your budget. Before you decide on the speed and ISP service you want, check the packages on your ISP site and decide what is best for you.
